Geophysical Services

GS is an established provider of innovative geophysical, geotechnical, environmental, mining, and groundwater application services, aimed at fulfilling comprehensive geoscience service requirements. With a team of highly qualified geophysicists and engineers, all project phases are handled with strict quality control and adherence to standard guidelines. GS takes pride in acquiring accurate data and reporting results in a useful format for their clients. Equipped with state-of-the-art geophysical tools, GS dedicates itself to delivering advanced innovation and technology to clients active in civil engineering, construction, public works, mines exploration, and the engineering industry. Their vision is to bridge geoscience discipline and civil works through integrated and affordable geophysical services.

GS provides a broad range of geo-mapping and geophysical services, including Electrical Resistivity Surveys, where experts regularly conduct electrical surveys for groundwater prospecting and other applications. Electrical imaging is used for site assessments related to underground storage tanks, dam structures, and various other fields.

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology is employed by GS to offer reliable non-destructive testing, underground locating, and subsurface imaging. GPR mapping services have multiple applications, such as private utility locating, concrete imaging before coring or cutting, locating buried underground storage tanks for environmental inspections, cemetery mapping to identify unmarked gravesites, and assisting police forensics by locating buried bodies. For applications where a hard copy reference is needed, GS provides GPR mapping services with detailed printouts of locations and depths of findings, plotted to scale.

GS also specializes in Seismic Tomography, having been involved in high-resolution seismic tomography projects and utilizing it for new application areas. Magnetometer surveys conducted by GS are rapid and efficient, detecting buried ferrous metal objects like tanks or drums, as well as bedrock features with contrasting magnetite content. These surveys are instrumental in geological mapping, mineral exploration, and archaeology. Results are presented in comprehensive reports that include magnetic profiles, indexed maps of magnetic anomalies, magnetic contour maps, and other graphic presentations.

Gravity surveys by GS provide valuable information where other methods may not be effective. For example, gravity surveys can map bedrock topography under a landfill, detect large metallic mineral deposits, and locate subsurface caverns or cavities. The results, typically presented in reports with profiles or contour maps and gravity data tables, help in understanding subsurface conditions.

GS specializes in ground-based Electromagnetic (EM) surveys, particularly for the mining, geothermal, and oil & gas sectors. By offering a full turnkey solution—from project planning to final interpretation—GS ensures optimal results by controlling every aspect of the geophysical survey operation.

Seismic Refraction surveys are one of the most developed geophysical techniques used by GS, providing critical information on subsurface conditions essential for engineering projects. This method is based on measuring the travel time of seismic waves refracted at interfaces between different velocity layers. GS experts utilize seismic refraction for applications such as soil-bedrock continuous profiling in pipeline routes, rippability assessments in mines, slope stability studies, site assessments for power plants and landfills, and more.
